Paleolithic Era (Old Stone Age)
Fire
Fire. Seems pretty simple huh? Well, during the Paleolithic Era fire was discovered. It was used to do simple tasks that we do today without ever realizing the process it took before getting the way it is. The Paleolithic people used fire to cook and keep each other warm. No instant heating for them...
Animals/Clothing
Animals like the one shown were used for clothing purposes. The people were nomads: a group of people that travel constantly to follow animals. They killed these animals for food and then kept their hide to make warmer clothing to get through those tough winter months.
A Tool for Hunting
Spears were used for catching and killing animals for food. The spears were usually crafted out of sharpened stones. Eventually people found out that a stick was good for a handle. People no longer had to kill animals with their own hands, this is a great accomplishment!
Date of Era
